What Is Korea Electronic Travel Authorization?

K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) is an online travel authorization that foreign visitors from visa-exempt and visa-free countries and regions must obtain before entering the Republic of Korea. This authorization is required for various purposes, including tourism, visiting relatives, participating in events or meetings, and engaging in business activities (excluding profit-making ventures). The K-ETA became mandatory on September 1, 2021.

Note that if the passport used for the application expires before the K-ETA validity period, the K-ETA approval will remain valid until the passport’s expiration date.

The validity period of K-ETA is generally 3 years, but it does not affect the allowed period of visa-free stay, which varies by nationality. Individuals entering the country with K-ETA must adhere to the visa-free stay limits based on nationality.

    How we’re different

We’ll plant a tree for every product sold. Our vision is to support communities and the environment by offering services to the public. For every product sold, we’ll plant a tree. We do this with local help to support local economies and communities. This is in opposition to mass tourism, which sucks the soul out of destinations. This is also in opposition to greedy international corporations, whose only concern is shareholder profit.

We do this with the help of One Tree Planted. A portion of every purchase goes to a reforestation or urban forestry project.

We hope that, by succeeding, we can have a future that we hope for, not dread.
