What is a Kenya EVisa?
A Kenya eVisa is an electronic visa that allows you to travel to Kenya for various purposes, including tourism, business, and visiting family. It’s a convenient alternative to the traditional paper visa and can be obtained entirely online, saving you time and hassle.
Two kinds of Kenya eVisa:
- Single Entry Visa: Valid for one entry into Kenya and a stay of up to 90 days (three (3) months) from the date of issue. This is ideal for short tourist trips or business visits.
- Multiple Entry Visa: Valid for multiple entries into Kenya within the specified validity period (one (1) year). This is suitable for frequent travelers or those planning extended stays.
The Citizenship and Immigration Act, 2011 establishes the legal framework for visa issuance in Kenya, including eVisas. It outlines the different types of visas offered, the general requirements for obtaining a visa, and the authority responsible for issuing them.
