How to get a Turkey visa?

There are two main ways to obtain a Turkish visa: applying through a Turkish Embassy or Consulate (sticker visa) or applying online through the e-Visa system.  Here’s a breakdown of each method:

Applying Through a Turkish Embassy or Consulate (Sticker Visa):

1. Find the Nearest Embassy or Consulate:  The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website has a location finder to help you.
2. Check Visa Requirements: Ensure you have the necessary documents and meet the eligibility criteria for your desired visa type.
3. Schedule an Appointment:  Contact your local embassy or consulate to schedule an appointment for visa application submission.
4. Prepare Application Materials: Compile the required documents, which typically include:
   • Completed visa application form
   • Valid passport (with at least six months validity beyond your stay)
   • Passport photos
   • Proof of travel health insurance
   • Proof of accommodation in Turkey
   • Flight itinerary or booking confirmation
   • Visa fee payment receipt
   • Additional documents specific to your visa type (e.g., work permit for work visas, acceptance letter for student visas)
