We plant a tree for every product sold. Our vision is to support communities and the environment by offering services to the public. For every product sold, we’ll plant a tree. We do this with the help of One Tree Planted. A portion of every purchase goes to a reforestation or an urban forestry project. We hope that, by succeeding, we can have a future that we hope for, not dread. You can help us, by voting with your consumption. Buy a visa from us, to plant a tree.

Our tree planting projects follow these guidelines:

  1. They aim to create green spaces, protect wildlife, store carbon, improve farming or benefit communities.
  2. They plant at least 10,000 trees.
  3. They use a variety of native plants that fit the local environment.
  4. They engage and empower the local people.
  5. They draw on the knowledge and skills of experts or professionals in reforestation fields.

What Is A Photo Identification?

Official documents, including driver’s licenses, ID cards, and passports, with an individual’s photo and personal details, are essential for verifying identity in formal and security-sensitive scenarios. Issued by government or specific entities, they play a pivotal role in upholding security, preventing fraud, and controlling access to services.

What Is An Identity Document?

Identity documents, commonly available in standardized card formats like ID cards, play a definitive role in confirming an individual’s identity and carry significant relevance in numerous situations, including electoral processes, travel, financial dealings, and service access. These credentials typically encompass personal details like name, birthdate, gender, nationality, address, unique identification number, photograph, signature, or biometric data. Government authorities issue them, and their specific formats can vary by country, encompassing passports, national identity cards, driver’s licenses, birth certificates, and social security cards.

Tanzania Identity Document

The main identity document in Tanzania is the National Identification Card (NIDA card). It is a mandatory document for all Tanzanian citizens over the age of 18. The NIDA card is a smart card that contains the holder’s biometric data, such as fingerprints and facial image. It also contains the holder’s name, date of birth, gender, and nationality.

The NIDA card is used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Voting
  • Opening a bank account
  • Obtaining a driver’s license
  • Applying for a job
  • Accessing government services
  • Traveling domestically

To apply for a NIDA card, Tanzanian citizens must submit the following documents:

  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Proof of residence
  • Two passport-size photos
  • Applications can be submitted at NIDA offices located throughout Tanzania.

In addition to the NIDA card, Tanzania also issues a number of other identity documents, including:

  • Passports
  • Alien’s registration certificates
  • Refugee cards
  • Certificate of identity (for non-citizens who are unable to obtain a passport from their home country)

These documents are used for a variety of purposes, such as international travel, applying for visas, and accessing certain government services.

It is important to note that the NIDA card is the only identity document that is mandatory for all Tanzanian citizens over the age of 18. All other identity documents are optional.

What Is A Travel Visa?

Travel visas are official documents that authorize foreign individuals to enter, reside in, or transit through a host country for specific purposes and durations, playing a vital role in the host nation’s border control.

These visas encompass categories like tourism, business, education, and employment. Typically, applicants must submit an application, provide supporting documents to verify their identity and travel purpose, and pay required fees. Specific requirements vary based on the visa type and host country regulations.

Visas are crucial tools in ensuring that only authorized individuals enter a country, thereby upholding national security and immigration protocols. Their significance lies in effectively managing borders, promoting order, and enhancing security in international travel.

What Is A Travel Document?

Travel documents are official papers authorized by governments, serving as definitive proof of an individual’s identity, citizenship, and permission for international travel. They are primarily issued to a country’s citizens. The most common example of such documents is passports, which contain vital personal details like name, photograph, date of birth, and nationality. Passports also have sections designated for visas and entry/exit stamps, documenting a traveler’s journey.

In addition to passports, there are specialized travel documents tailored to specific situations. For instance, refugee travel documents are provided to individuals seeking asylum, while stateless travel documents are issued to those lacking recognized national affiliations.

These travel documents hold paramount importance in international travel. They empower governments to effectively manage border crossings, ensure the welfare of their citizens abroad, and facilitate organized movement of individuals worldwide.

What Is Border Control?

Border control includes a nation’s procedures for managing the passage of people and goods across its borders, encompassing customs enforcement, public health standards, and immigration oversight.

It operates at both international and internal borders, with varying levels of strictness, from open policies to rigorous monitoring. Border control relies on travel documents, visa systems, and country-specific policies.

Specialized government agencies oversee these controls to ensure lawful and organized movement of individuals, animals, and goods across borders.

The passport’s key information is printed on the data page and replicated in machine-readable lines, with a secure copy stored within the chip. Biometric data may include fingerprints, facial features for facial recognition, and iris scans. The chip utilizes contactless smart card technology, which includes a microprocessor chip and an antenna for chip activation and communication, typically placed on the passport’s cover or central page.

Typically, people achieve permanent residency through family connections, job offers, humanitarian reasons, or investments. It’s important to note that permanent residents are not considered citizens.

What Is A Certificate Of Identity?

A Certificate of Identity (COI) is an official travel document granted by a country to individuals who lack citizenship in that nation and do not possess a passport from their home country. Normally, COIs are issued to stateless individuals or refugees, enabling them to confirm their identity and ease their travel. COIs play a vital role in assisting these individuals in accessing essential services and opportunities when obtaining a regular passport is not feasible.

What Is A Passport Stamp?

Passport stamps are official marks made by immigration authorities in travelers’ passports to indicate their arrival or departure from a specific country. These stamps contain important information like the date of entry or exit, the specific border or airport where clearance occurred, and visa-related details. The act of stamping passports is a standard practice in immigration and border control procedures worldwide.

Immigration law comprises a broad range of legal rules and principles that cover various aspects of immigration. This encompasses procedures like naturalization for citizenship acquisition, the granting of asylum or refugee status, visa rules, deportation processes, and the administration of national borders.

What Is A U.S. Re-Entry Permit?

The United States Re-Entry Permit, under the jurisdiction of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), serves as a travel document designed specifically for lawful permanent residents (LPRs), commonly known as green card holders. It serves two primary functions:

1. Ensuring the ongoing validity of their Permanent Resident Card (green card) for re-entry into the United States, even after extended absences, such as stays abroad exceeding one year.

2. Providing tangible proof of their U.S. permanent residency status, even during shorter absences, particularly if they establish residency in another country.

A Re-Entry Permit confirms the LPR’s commitment to maintaining their status, allowing them to seek re-entry to the United States following an absence of up to two years without the need for a returning resident visa. Typically, these permits remain valid for two years from the date of issuance. To obtain a Re-Entry Permit, LPRs must complete and submit Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, to USCIS. It is essential to initiate this application well in advance of their planned trip while they are physically present within the United States.

The Act defines a passport as “a document issued by the Minister to a citizen of the United Republic for the purpose of international travel.” The Act also states that only citizens of Tanzania are eligible to apply for a passport.

The Regulations of 2004 prescribe the application procedures, fees, and other requirements for obtaining a Tanzanian passport. The Regulations also state that the Commissioner General of Immigration Services is responsible for issuing passports on behalf of the Minister.

The Tanzania Passports and Travel Documents Act, 2002 and its Regulations of 2004 also contain a number of other rules and regulations regarding the issuance of passports, such as:

  • The Minister may refuse to issue a passport to any person who is the subject of a criminal investigation or who has been convicted of a crime.
  • The Minister may also refuse to issue a passport to any person who is a minor, unless the minor is traveling with a parent or guardian.
  • A passport is valid for a period of five years from the date of issue.

  • A lost or stolen passport can be replaced.
