What is a Diplomatic Mission?
Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) Diplomatic Mission is the official representation of the Ivorian government in other countries and international organizations. Ivory Coast has diplomatic missions in 62 countries and 5 multilateral organizations, such as the United Nations, the African Union, and the European Union.
The diplomatic missions of Ivory Coast perform various functions, such as protecting the interests and rights of Ivorian citizens abroad, promoting the political, economic, and cultural relations between Ivory Coast and the host country or organization, and facilitating cooperation and dialogue on various issues of mutual concern.

What is a Consulate?
The Consul is a lower-ranking diplomatic representative than the Ambassador, who is the head of the Embassy. The Consul provides various services to Ivorian citizens living or traveling abroad, such as issuing passports, visas, certificates, and legal assistance. The Consul also promotes the economic, cultural, and scientific relations between Ivory Coast and the host country.
Ivory Coast has Consulates in 17 countries, such as Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
