India ETourist Visa Extension

Unfortunately,  an Indian eTourist Visa (eTV)  cannot be extended at this time. Unlike some other Indian visa categories, eTVs are issued for a fixed duration and are not eligible for extension.

Here’s what you can do instead:

  • Apply for a new eTV: This is the most common approach. You can apply for a new eTV online well before your current visa expires. There’s no need to be outside India to re-apply.
  • Consider alternative visas: If your planned stay extends beyond the validity of your eTV, explore other visa options that might be suitable for your extended stay. The Indian government offers various visa categories like a regular tourist visa or a long-term visa depending on your purpose of visit.
