Obtaining a Uganda visa in the Ugandan Embassy in Nigeria

While applying for a Ugandan visa at the Ugandan Embassy in Nigeria is an option, it’s generally not the most efficient way.  The Ugandan Immigration Service strongly recommends using online applications. However, if you must apply in person, here’s a general idea of the steps:

  1. Contact the Ugandan Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, to confirm their current visa application process and required documents. You can try calling them at +234 813 266 6559 or emailing them at highcomabuja@yahoo.co.uk.
  2. Gather the required documents as per the embassy’s instructions. This will likely include:
    1. Completed visa application form,
    2. Passport (valid for at least 6 months after your intended entry into Uganda)
    3. Recent passport photos
    4. Proof of travel
    5. Accommodation bookings
    6. Potentially proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
  3. Schedule an appointment with the embassy to submit your application and potentially have biometrics captured (fingerprints etc.).
  4. Pay the visa processing fee as directed by the embassy.
  5. Return to the embassy (after they notify you) to collect your passport with the visa if your application is successful.
