We plant a tree for every product sold. Our vision is to support communities and the environment by offering services to the public. For every product sold, we’ll plant a tree. We do this with local help to support local economies and communities. This is in opposition to mass-tourism, that sucks the soul out of destinations. This is also in opposition to greedy international corporations, whose only concern are shareholder profit.
We do this with the help of One Tree Planted. A portion of every purchase goes to a reforestation or an urban forestry project. We hope that, by succeeding, we can have a future that we hope for, not dread. You can help us, by voting with your consumption. Buy a visa from us, to plant a tree.
Our tree planting projects follow these guidelines:
- They aim to create green spaces, protect wildlife, store carbon, improve farming or benefit communities.
- They plant at least 10,000 trees.
- They use a variety of native plants that fit the local environment.
- They engage and empower the local people.
- They draw on the knowledge and skills of experts or professionals in reforestation fields.
- They leave the trees planted for nature and not for profit.

Colombian’s Hospitality
Colombian hospitality is shown in many ways, but one of the most common and appreciated is through home-cooking and sharing meals with guests. Colombians are proud of their culinary traditions and enjoy offering their local dishes to visitors. Some of the typical foods that Colombians serve to their guests are:
- Ajiaco: This is a creamy soup made with chicken, three types of potatoes, corn, and guasca (a local herb). It is served with sour cream, capers, avocado, and rice. It is a typical dish of Bogotá and the Andean region.
- Bandeja paisa: This is a hearty platter that consists of white rice, red beans, ground beef, pork crackling, chorizo sausage, fried egg, plantain, avocado, and arepa. It is the national dish of Colombia and originates from the Antioquia region.
- Sancocho: This is a thick soup or stew made with different kinds of meat (chicken, beef, pork, or fish) and vegetables (potato, yuca, corn, plantain). It is seasoned with cilantro, onion, garlic, and cumin. It is a comfort food that is usually served with rice and avocado. It originates from the Valle del Cauca region but has many variations across the country.
- Arepas: These are round, flat breads made of cornmeal that can be grilled, baked, or fried. They are usually eaten for breakfast or as a snack, with butter, cheese, eggs, meat, or jam. Arepas are perhaps the most emblematic food of Colombia and can be found in every corner of the country.
- Coffee: Colombia is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of coffee. Coffee is an integral part of Colombian culture and hospitality. Colombians drink coffee throughout the day and offer it to their guests as a sign of welcome and friendship.
Colombian hospitality also involves showing guests around the city and introducing them to its attractions and culture. Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia, has many historical places to visit, such as:
- La Candelaria: This is the historic center of Bogotá, where colonial buildings, churches, museums, and cultural centers are located. Some of the landmarks in this area are the Plaza de Bolívar, the Cathedral Primada de Colombia, the Casa de Nariño (the presidential palace), the Museo del Oro (the gold museum), and the Museo Botero (the museum dedicated to the famous Colombian painter Fernando Botero).
- Monserrate: This is a hill that rises above Bogotá and offers panoramic views of the city. On top of the hill there is a church dedicated to El Señor Caído (the Fallen Lord), a pilgrimage site for many Colombians. There is also a park with gardens, restaurants, and souvenir shops. The hill can be reached by cable car or funicular.
- Usaquén: This is a former colonial town that was annexed by Bogotá in 1954. It has preserved its charm and character with cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and a central plaza. It is a popular place for dining, shopping, and entertainment. On Sundays there is a flea market where local artisans sell their crafts.
