Who’s Eligible for the Colombia Digital Nomad Visa?
The Colombia Digital Nomad Visa (Type V) is designed for remote workers, freelancers, and business owners who earn income from clients outside of Colombia.
- You’re a citizen of a visa-exempt country (e.g. U.S., Canada, UK, EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, etc.)
- You work remotely for a company, own your own business, or freelance for clients located outside Colombia
- You earn at least three times Colombia’s minimum monthly wage

- You have valid international health insurance that covers illness, hospitalization, disability, and repatriation
- Your passport is valid for at least 6 months

Can I work for Colombian companies with this visa?
No. The Digital Nomad Visa (Type V) only allows you to work for foreign clients or employers. Local work requires a different visa type.
How long does the visa take to process?
